Why the name?

BlackASH reflects my connection to Taranaki.

The black comes from the Black sand beaches of the west coast of the
North Island of
Aotearoa - New Zealand.

And the ash comes from the mightly
Taranaki Mounga - Mount Taranaki,
which has formed the local landscapes and created the region’s rich ash soils, commonly referred to as Taranaki ASH within the local Engineering sector.
